About the Author, Bazaart & Weebly
Hi, I'm Colin Campbell, a fine art photographer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I am a member of ViewPoint Gallery cooperative and the Photographic Guild of Nova Scotia. By the way, Viewpoint's website is also a Weebly site.
You can view more of my photography at my main website: Colin Campbell PhotoArt
Bazaart (you are looking at it) is a website I created to show what can be accomplished quickly (in a few hours) by a photographer with no technical skills that involve creating content for the internet. It uses Weebly.
Weebly hosts this website free (though I could upgrade to a paid account, which would have more features). I created this site using Weebly's simple drag and drop web builder, with easy text editing and image uploading.
To make this page, I clicked on the Basics tab (top left), then the Pages tab (along the top of the toolbar), and created a page called About. I saved the change and clicked About on the main menu (above). I then dragged the "Title" and "Paragraph with Picture" icons under the Elements tab onto the empty page and started typing in the text fields.
To create each of the three links above, I highlighted the text I wanted as a link, then clicked the link icon in the word processing toolbar. Then I typed the address (URL) into the field provided, making sure to include the http:// prefix. You could also go to the website you want to link to, copy the URL from the address field on your browser, and paste it into the link field.
I then clicked on the image placeholder and clicked Upload. I keep images I want to upload in an easily located folder on my computer. I then clicked on the image and clicked Edit to resize the image as desired. I then clicked Publish. If your images are too large to easily resize, you might want to create smaller images to upload.
